The CCL Invitation

When an individual makes a commitment to step into a leadership role, willing to take a personal stand on an issue, that stand changes the world. It is the first voice of democracy. It is the principle upon which our great country was born.

CCL invites each of us to live into the opportunity that our democracy offers, and in exercising that right as citizens, lift our nation to the task at hand on global warming and climate change, that of protecting our ability to live on planet Earth.

What’s Next?

Your CCL Community

When you start or participate in a CCL group in your community, a number of things happen. Your group becomes a voice on climate change to your local government representatives, such as your district congressman. You will meet and form a relationship with your representative, putting a face to your group’s voice on climate change legislation. When there is an important bill being considered in the nation’s capital you can bring it to the attention of those who represent you in Washington DC. CCL is a resource keeping you and your group informed about important climate legislation and timely actions to take. In this role you also become an important liaison to the media about climate legislation, and an important resource to your community members.

Forming a CCL group in your community can directly influence our federal legislation. Your community group becomes a part of a growing network across the country of people doing the same. Together these groups become a powerful voice to our national government. One group becomes a network of one hundred groups across the country. Again, this voice is powerful enough to make a significant difference in the media and in Washington DC.
